Glitter, Glitter Everywhere!

Hello All!

We’re getting closer to the holidays and for many of us this mean glitter… and lots of it. I’ve recently had some fun with the herpes of the crafting world (think about it, once you get it you can’t get rid of it) and  here are some of the results!

With these clear glass ornaments I found at Michaels I just took some Mod Podge and painted the bottom half and sprinkled some super-fine glitter on it while it was still wet. I think I’ll coat the inside with different colours of acrylic paint.

On my same trip to Michaels when I found the glass ornaments, I found these great plaster ornaments. They were all white and ready for me to paint them! I used acrylic paint to paint them and added some glitter to help them stand out on the tree!

I also picked up some regular glitter in which I fully coated some ornaments. With a small paint brush I was able to do some more detailed work as well.

This particular piece isn’t fully dry yet, but I covered it in white glitter first and used some of the remnants of the blue ornaments and dusted it on top.

This is some of the glitter I used. Found the packs for $1.00 each at the dollar store.

These were so easy to do! Although they are messy they could be a fun project for the family!

Happy crafting!

Love, Emily
