It’s Fabric Friday here at Em One, Em Two! his week’s print is brought to you by Robert Kaufman. It’s from his Vintage Couturier 2 line which will be available in October.
My favourite colour is purple and I’m a sewer and a maker so this fabric is right up my alley! I would love to make a skirt or dress out of it. It’d be like meta-making, right? Sewing with fabric about sewing…. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
I recently started my first hat knitting in the round. It took me a while to get the hang of round needles, but now that I have I am hooked!
I chose Paton’s Shetland Chunky yarn because it was an affordable yarn for my first hat trial. The dark green is a nice, rich, fall colour. I have always wanted a dark green slouchy hat, but have never seen one in stores.
I wanted to try an easy hat pattern and found a great simple beret pattern on Ravelry. This pattern is pretty basic and fast! I didn’t have the same size needles as the pattern uses, so my beret has a tighter knit than shown.
Size 8 US (5mm) 16″ circular needles. If you want a chunkier knit use the needles recommended in the patter!
